Alan was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court in 2015. Alan’s education includes a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the Queensland University of Technology. His academic excellence and persuasive oration has also seen him represent his university in Europe in an advocacy competition.
Alan has worked in a top tier international commercial firm prior to joining Rostron Carlyle Rojas and working in criminal law; this has given him broad experience applicable to criminal confiscations matters. He now practices exclusively in criminal defence law which includes serious and organized crime. Alan specialises in major drug matters including importation of commercial quantities of dangerous drugs and drug trafficking.
His experience also extends to homicide offences, property matters, major white collar fraud in excess of 20 million dollars, assaults, and sex offences. Alan has represented clients in Queensland and New South Wales with great success and has represented clients in coercive hearings at the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) and at the Australian Crime Commission (ACC). Alan also has extensive experience appearing in the Magistrates Court, District Court and Supreme Court for bail applications, trials, and sentences.
