Michael Finch’s practice focuses on commercial disputes, particularly within the insurance and the building and construction industry.
Michael has experience acting in complex litigation and adjudication, as well as advising on contract management and claim resolution throughout the life cycle of a project. He has acted for principals, contractors, subcontractors and industry regulators in disputes relating to the construction of both commercial and residential projects. Michael also advises commercial clients on a variety of issues relating to contractual disputes.
As a commercial litigator, Michael has appeared in both State and Federal Courts as well as having acted for clients in a number of alternative dispute resolution forums. He has a proven history in negotiating commercial outcomes for his clients.
Prior to gaining his legal qualifications from Queensland University of Technology, Michael obtained a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Philosophy from the University of Victoria, Canada.
