Michael Finch Appointed Commercial Litigation Partner in Growing Sydney Practice

Rostron Carlyle Rojas Lawyers is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Finch as a Partner in Commercial Litigation in our growing Sydney practice. 

Michael has been a pivotal part of the establishment and continued growth of our New South Wales operation, alongside commercial division Partner, James Hatzopoulos.  Michael and James are a well-matched team, delivering outstanding results for our Sydney-based clients. Across his five years with our firm, Michael has delivered outstanding results, proving to be a keen legal strategist who works to minimise the effects of litigation on his clients.

Michael has acted for clients involved in complex litigation and adjudication proceedings, in both State and Federal Courts, and successfully headed a number of alternative dispute resolution forums. 

A Proven, Multidisciplinary Legal Strategist

Michael joined the firm in 2016 as a member of the Commercial Litigation team. Starting his journey in the firm’s Brisbane office, he now heads up the Commercial Litigation practice in Sydney, servicing clients across Australia.

Michael is highly competent in the areas of Building and Construction law and insolvency. He has presented on topics of defective building works and security for payment legislation in both Queensland and New South Wales to industry stakeholders and members groups such as HIA and Master Builders.

Michael works closely with leading insolvency practitioners and has undertaken industry specific accreditation through the ARITA Advanced Certification in Insolvency, Restructuring and Turnaround program.

Michael has particular experience across the following fields and is highly respected for his practice amongst peers and clients alike.

– Insolvency and corporate recovery
